Campbellford Santa Claus Parade returns to traditional parade format

The Campbellford Santa Claus Parade Committee is thrilled to announce the parade will take place on Saturday, November 27 at 2 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Winter Wonderland” and the parade route will take place in the downtown area on the east side of the river. The Northumberland Rogues and Kingston Police Pipe Band are back with our favourite holiday tunes add to the festivities.

“As a reminder to those driving in the area, the Bridge Street bridge will be closed to traffic beginning at 2 pm and ending at approximately 2:45. The swing bridge will be a detour route, and the downtown road closures easily allow for alternative routes  to get around the parade,” said Brian Redden, Committee Co-Chair. “The staging area for the parade will take place on Market and Ranney Streets, near Campbellford District High School, with volunteers assisting with traffic control.”

There is still time to register to participate in the parade either as a float entry or a walking entry, all are welcome.  Complete an online form at  or email

There are a few changes to this year’s parade, Santa will be heading straight back to the North Pole and not available for pictures with the kids. Instead the Campbellford BIA has sponsored treat bags to be handed out at the Town Square.

“We are encouraging parade-goers and participants to either maintain 6 feet distance or wear a mask, especially when treats are being handed out and delivering your letter to Santa’s volunteer mail carriers,” said Nancy Allanson, Committee Co-Chair. “To encourage everyone to make full use of the entire parade route, we have recruited local elves to hand out gift card prizes, if you are in the right spot at the right time you could be a lucky winner.”

The parade committee is ran by volunteers with all of the funds to support the parade coming from sponsors.  Thank you to the Municipality of Trent Hills, Campbellford BIA and
Rotary Club of Campbellford for your continued support of the Campbellford Santa Claus Parade. Wising everyone a safe and fun parade day!

A final reminder to follow Covid protocols, even when you are outdoors if you cannot maintain 6 feet from someone outside of your household, wear a mask, and sanitize when required.
